Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DivyAstroAPI (the “Service”), operated by DIVY GURU VEDIC RESEARCH (“Company”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility & account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Services we provide

DivyAstroAPI provides REST APIs, MCP server endpoints, JSON report endpoints, and related developer tooling for Vedic and Western astrological calculations, derived from Swiss Ephemeris and our proprietary rule sets. The Service is sold on a subscription and/or pay-as-you-go basis, with pricing published on our Pricing page in Indian Rupees (INR) for Indian customers and US Dollars (USD) for international customers.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the API to automate harmful, fraudulent, or illegal activities.
  • Do not share or publicly expose your dv_live_* API keys.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the Swiss Ephemeris data files or our proprietary rule corpus.
  • Do not resell raw API access as a competing “astrology API” product.
  • Do not exceed published rate limits or attempt to circumvent quota enforcement.

4. Billing & payments

  • Monthly subscriptions auto-renew on the same date each month until cancelled.
  • Yearly subscriptions auto-renew annually. Cancellation is governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Overage usage is billed at the plan's per-request rate at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Pay-as-you-go is billed monthly for actual usage, with no minimum commitment.
  • Indian customers are billed in INR via Cashfree/Razorpay. International customers are billed in USD via Stripe. Applicable taxes (including GST for Indian customers) are added at checkout.

5. Refunds and cancellation

All refund and cancellation terms are documented separately on the Refund and Cancellation Policy page and form part of these Terms by reference.

6. Service availability

We provide best-effort availability for Starter and Growth plans, and a 99.9% uptime commitment for Business and Enterprise plans (see the SLA for credit mechanics). The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind beyond those expressly stated in the SLA.

7. Intellectual property

All software, rule data, documentation, and trademarks belonging to DivyAstroAPI and DIVY GURU VEDIC RESEARCH remain our exclusive property. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to call the API in accordance with your active plan. Output you generate by composing API responses into your own product is yours; the raw API responses themselves may not be redistributed as a database product.

8. Astrological content disclaimer

Astrological calculations and interpretations provided by the Service are for informational, cultural, and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. We make no representation or warranty about the accuracy of predictive guidance or any outcomes that may follow from its use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid to us in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, abuse of the Service, or as required by law. You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard, subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Madhya Pradesh, India.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
