The engine

DivyAstroAPI is powered by Swiss Ephemeris 2.10 — the industry-standard astronomical library used by AstroSage, Parashara's Light, and Kerykeion. Our Go service wraps the Swiss Ephemeris C library via CGO and adds the Vedic layer: sidereal ayanamsas, nakshatra bucketing, dasha calculations, Ashtakavarga, divisional charts D1–D60, Muhurta scoring, and classical doshas.

Accuracy

Correctness is validated at the function level — not the HTTP level. Every atomic calculation has a golden-test fixture generated by importing a frozen Python reference. Planetary longitudes match to 1e-9°, tithi/yoga/karana transitions to one second, sidereal classifications (sign, nakshatra, pada, house) exactly.

Why atomic endpoints

Our pricing is per-request. If you only need the tithi, a request for the tithi costs one credit — you don't pay for a full panchang or chart computation that you discard. Every endpoint computes exactly one classical element; product teams compose them.
